Welcome to Pebworth and District WI Pebworth and District WI is a lively branch of the largest women’s organisation in the UK. This year it is celebrating its 74th birthday, having been formed in 1951, and it continues to thrive with over 40 members of all ages. As well as the friendship, the support and fun which our members enjoy there is so much more to be gained from joining our WI. This year could be your opportunity to:

April 2nd Discover the Marten Museum of Country Bygones with its curator We will be collecting donations for Meon Vale Food Share. May 7th Learn about local charity “Friendship Project for Children” Declutter your shelves to donate to the book bonanza (and probably buy more!) June 4th Join us in St Peter’s for a glass of Pimms while Jenny reveals more about the lives of previous Pebworth residents Members will attend the national AGM via zoom with speakers Angel Strawbridge (Escape to the Chateau) and Emma Bridgewater ( pottery manufacturer) July 2nd BBC Leicester presenter Dave Andrews reported on the discovery of the remains of King Richard 3rd and his illustrated talk “The Man, the Mystery and the car park “ will reveal what happened. We will be collecting for Meon Vale Food Share No meeting in August Sept 3rd Marea Brown will lead a workshop when we use Indian block printing to make our own article. Oct 1st Our WI AGM and time to elect a new committee before we hear from traveller Sue Ablett who will share her visit to the “Land of the Thunder Dragon” Nov 5th Nicole will show us how to make our own Christmas cards On 11th Nov, Remembrance Day we will lay a WI wreath at the memorial 29th Nov Theatre visit to the Henrician, Evesham . Dec 4th Max Keen returns to tell members and invited guests all about pirates at our Christmas party. On the 7th there will be a Group Carol Service and later in the month a Christmas wreath making workshop with Sue Jordan on 9th 2026 Jan 14th Toast the New Year with fizz and enjoy a demonstration from Annie Griffith from “Millinery Matters” Feb 4th True crime author and investigator Adam Wood tells us more about a very local murder March 4th Relax with Julia Mitchell in her Tai Chi and Qi Gong class Our annual parish litter-pick is on Sat 7th March |
